Recall of Delissimo Saveur Creme Brulee ice cream
On 23 February 2022, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) published a media release in relation to a recall of Delissimo Saveur Creme Brulee ice cream products from France, following a notification by the European Commission Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed that the products contain a pesticide, ethylene oxide.
Under the Sale of Food Act (Food Regulations), food products containing pesticide residue above the prescribed limit are prohibited.
The affected products, branded “Delissimo Saveur Creme Brulee”, originate from France and have dates of minimum durability lasting up until January 2022 and March 2022.
Le Petit Depot Pte Ltd was the local importer directed by the SFA to recall the Delissimo Saveur Creme Brulee ice cream products from their customers.
