Teresa H. Michaud advises on all aspects of dispute resolution, primarily complex business disputes, class actions, intellectual property and international arbitration. She is the co-chair of the North American Class Action Subgroup and serves as a member of the Global Steering Committee of the Firm's Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Industry Group. She is admitted to practice in California, Texas and New York, and qualified in England and Wales. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US). Teresa is also one of the founding members of our Los Angeles office that opened in 2018.

Key developments reflected in this week’s update include extension of state-wide orders and/or the duration of the current phase of their reopening plans for Connecticut, Maryland and South Carolina. While New Mexico, New York and Virginia eased restrictions and/or advanced to the next phase of their reopening plan. Nevada has handed over responsibility for COVID-19 mitigation and enforcement efforts to local governments, but the state will continue to enforce the mask mandate. Beginning May 11, 2021, Hawaii will allow fully vaccinated passengers will be able to travel inter-island without being subject to quarantine and testing rules.

Key developments in COVID-19 reopening this week include extensions of the current reopening plans in Delaware, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wyoming. Additionally, New York has removed many travel quarantine requirements for domestic and international travelers. New Hampshire allowed its state-wide mask mandate to expire, while Colorado issued a limited requirement mandating face masks in some contexts.
