Treetip joined Baker McKenzie in July 2016 in the Financial Services Practice Group and became a partner in 2022. With more than 10 years of experience, she is active and experienced in capital markets, securities offering, securities and corporate laws, and a wide range of public, offshore and cross border merger & acquisition and transactions, onshore and offshore investments, private equity as well as other securities & capital market compliance, listing regulations, takeover rules, delisting rules and regulations.
She has been expanding her experience into digital assets namely tokenization, regulated Initial Coin Offering (ICO) and securities token offerings as well as other alternative offerings such as private equity trust.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Treetip was at another law firm since 2012 with experience in a wide range of both public and private merger & acquisition transactions as well as corporate and foreign investment works.
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) has amended and issued regulations (17 in total) to provide clarity regarding the nature of businesses that may be considered investment companies. The amended regulations also impose disclosure obligations, where an investment company is also a listed company, and prohibit any investment companies from offering securities, except in limited circumstances. These regulations became effective on 1 January 2024.
