On June 25, 2019, State Law No. 20,489/2019 was published in the Official Gazette of the State of Goiás.

The Law determines the mandatory implementation of Integrity Program for companies that enter into contracts, consortium, agreement, concession or public-private partnership with the public administration of the State of Goiás, in amounts equal to or greater than BRL 1,500,000.00 for engineering works and services and BRL 650,000.00 for purchases and services. The requirement applies to contract with term equal to or greater than 180 days.

The law applies also to companies that enter into contracts with waiver of a bidding process, and to contracts that have expired and are subject to renewal and/or amendment. In these cases, however, the Public Authorities shall communicate the company about the mandatory implementation of the Integrity Program at the time of the renewal and/or amendment.

The law of the State of Goiás is similar to other legislation already in force others States, such as: Rio de Janeiro (State Law No. 7,753/2017); Amazonas (State Law No. 4,370/2018); Rio Grande do Sul (State Law No. 15,228/2018) and Federal District (District Law No. 6,112/2018).
