Dr. Lukas Feiler, SSCP, CIPP/E, has more than eight years of experience in IP/IT and is a partner and head of the IP and IT team at Baker McKenzie Rechtsanwälte LLP & Co KG in Vienna. He is a lecturer for data protection law at the University of Vienna Law School and for IT compliance at the University of Applied Science Wiener Neustadt. Prior to joining the Firm, Lukas was an associate at the Austrian headquarter of an international law firm, vice director at the European Center for E-Commerce and Internet Law, and an intern at the European Commission, DG Information Society & Media. Having worked at IT companies in Vienna, Leeds, and New York, he has experience as a system and network administrator. In April 2014, Lukas has been named as Cyber Security Lawyer of the Year for Austria in the 2014 Finance Monthly Law Awards. In 2011, he received the Jus-Top-League Award from Die Presse and the Academy for Law, Taxes & Business as one of the five most promising up-and-coming lawyers.

Zheng Lu is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Shanghai office. She specializes in Employment & Compensation, International Labor & Human Rights, Employee Benefits & Equity Services, as well as Business Changes & Restructuring. She finished her JD in the University of Iowa, and is admitted to the Missouri Bar Association. Baker & McKenzie FenXun (FTZ) Joint Operation Office is a joint operation between Baker & McKenzie LLP, and FenXun Partners, approved by the Shanghai Justice Bureau.

Yann Padova joined Baker McKenzie as a partner in the Information Technology Group and head of the Data Protection Practice in Paris. He is internationally recognized in digital network law, personal data and regulatory law. Yann Padova has an extensive experience in data protection for 17 years and has served both as a regulator and a lawyer. In November 2017, he has been appointed “Country Leader” by the International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP). Before joining Baker McKenzie, Yann Padova served as Commissioner with the Commission de Régulation de l’Energie (2015-2017), to which he was appointed by the President of the National Assembly due to his skills in the field of personal data. Before this, he had worked for Baker McKenzie in Paris as Senior Counsel in the Information Technologies and Communications team (2012-2015). For 6 years, he was Secretary General of the CNIL, the French data protection authority (2006-2012) where he participated in the very first rounds of negotiations of the GDPR. He began his career as an Administrator at the National Assembly (1995-2006) where he specialised in personal data laws, criminal law and criminal procedures and notably participated in the legal work that led to the transposition of the Directive 95/46 on data protection into French Law.

Julia Kaufmann is a partner in the Munich office of Baker McKenzie. She has been admitted in Germany since 2006 and in New York, USA, since 2009. In addition to her studies in Germany, Julia obtained her Master of Laws degree at the University of Texas at Austin, USA.

Francesca Gaudino is a member of Baker McKenzie’s Information Technology & Communications Group in Milan. She focuses on data protection and security, advising particularly on legal issues that arise in the use of cutting edge technology. She has been recognized in Chambers Europe’s individual lawyer rankings from 2011 to 2014. Ms. Gaudino is a regular contributor on international publications such as World Data Protection Review, DataGuidance, and others. She routinely holds lectures on data privacy and security at post-graduate courses of SDA – Manager Direction School of the Milan Bocconi University and Almaweb – University of Bologna. She regularly speaks at national and international conferences and workshops on the same topics.

Wouter Seinen is a partner in the Firm's IP/IT & Commercial Practice Group in Amsterdam. He has significant experience in assisting national and international clients with respect to issues concerning ownership and protection of electronic data. Seinen has a particular interest in all internet-related issues on the subject of intellectual property rights. Moreover, he has a record in IT and outsourcing transactions, with a particular focus on business process outsourcing. He is also a keen negotiator and litigator.

Magdalena Kogut-Czarkowska is a counsel in the IP/IT department of Baker McKenzie Warsaw. She is seasoned in personal data protection and intellectual property law, focusing on e-commerce and consumer protection issues. Ms. Kogut-Czarkowska is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E). Between 2011 and 2012, she went on a 12-month part-time secondment in a high-profile global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, where she handled IT and privacy matters.

Raúl Rubio joined Baker & McKenzie´s as a partner in 2011, practicing in the area of information technology and communications. He has over 15 years’ experience, having worked for the Spanish office of a Big Four accounting firm prior to joining Baker McKenzie. Mr. Rubio is a frequent speaker at several universities, law schools and companies, and has given several lectures on topics related to his field. He has written numerous legal articles in business journals and magazines relating to intellectual property, audiovisual law and new technologies.

Jennie Nilsson is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Stockholm office. She heads the office's Information Technology and Communications Group. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked as an in-house legal counsel in a multinational professional services network in Sweden and at another major Swedish law firm. She also served as a law clerk.

Julia Wilson is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Employment & Compensation team in London and co-chair of the Firm's Workforce Redesign client solution. Julia also leads the employment data privacy practice in London. Julia advises multinational organisations on a wide range of employment and data protection matters. She is highly regarded by clients, who describe her as a “standout” performer who "knows how we think." A member of the Firm's Pro Bono Committee, she plays a lead role in the Firm's pro bono relationship with Save the Children International. She also collaborates with Law Works to deliver employment law training to solicitors who provide pro bono advice to individuals. Julia regularly presents and moderates panels on podcasts, webinars and in-person events, is often quoted in mainstream media, and authors articles and precedents for a range of industry and other publications.
