- Algeria – Law on nuclear activities
Algeria decided to regulate activities related to the research, production and peaceful use of nuclear energy with the adoption of Law No. 19-05 of 17 July 2019 on nuclear activities.
- Guinea Conakry – Publication of the law on Public-Private Partnerships
Even though Law No. 2017-32 of 4 July 2017 on public-private partnerships (PPP) was promulgated on 24 October 2017, it has been published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Guinea dated 28 June 2019.
- Gabon – New Hydrocarbon Code
The enactment of the new hydrocarbon Code (Law No. 002/2019 of 16 July 2019) is part of the Gabonese Government’s economic recovery plan. The new code allows for greater adaptability and flexibility, both in terms of the taxation regime and in terms of the duration of operating and exploration phases. The law seeks to revitalize the Gabonese oil sector.
