Following the adoption of another (fourth) set of COVID-19 laws, we present to you the fourth edition of our handbook. The set of COVID-19 laws includes:
- the so-called Polish Anti-Crisis Shield including the First Law on COVID-19, which entered into force on 31 March and 1 April 2020 (Journal of Laws of 2020, issue 568);
- the so-called Second Law on COVID-19, which entered into force on 18 April 2020. The most crucial parts at that time were the extensive amendment to the First Law on COVID-19 and a new act (Journal of Laws of 2020, issue 695);
- The Third Law on COVID-19 is the Act dated 14 May 2020 on changing various laws as protective measures due to the spread of COVID-19 (Journal of Laws of 2020, issue 875), which entered into force on 16 May 2020;
- the newest Fourth Law on COVID-19 is the Act dated 19 June 2020 on subsidies to interest rates of bank loans granted to enterprises affected by COVID-19 (Journal of Laws of 2020, issue 1086), which entered into force on 24 June 2020.
We present you a brief description of the new laws that in our view are the most important for current and future economic landscape in Poland. For your convenience, the changes introduced by the Fourth Law on COVID-19 and other changes introduced compared to the previous versions of the Handbook are in red. The following are of special importance in this version: foreign investment control, simplified restructuring and major changes in public procurement.
